Acupuncture, fertility retreats, health inspirations, living the wildest most beautiful life you can live.

Sage Andreasen“Everyone has been made for a particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart” -Rumi

I love to inspire others to follow their dreams and live healthily and happily, fulfilling our life’s mission and contributing to the world our own special unique talents.

I believe that illness can be a catalyst for change and growth and not just something to be feared.

A Sydney based Acupuncturist, I have worked almost entirely in the field of fertility, pregnancy, pre-labour and IVF support for the past 5 years. I did actually start studying Chinese medicine over 20+ years ago back in 1991.. it’s a long story but I moved to Sydney and had a family mid-way through that degree and then went back a few years later to finish it all up.

Ever since I was young I have passionately believed that we do not have to suffer from as much as we think we do.   While I have a healthy love for integrative medicine, and love to merge modern science with ancient time-trialled tradition, there is so often a natural, healthy and inspiring way to improve our health and take care of our bodies.

In 2009 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease.. at the time I was doing a post-graduate honours degree in Research (on whether acupuncture before and after embryo transfer affected levels of TNFa and IL-6 in the blood), was the mother of two wildly wonderful teenage kids, had started a clinical practice and was still holding down my day job. I think my body thought enough was enough. I almost had to start life from scratch from this point onwards, and it has been an incredible journey, of extreme difficulty and amazing learnings and I wouldn’t be without any of it, as I really believe it’s given me greater insight as a practitioner and how it really feels to be a patient.

I will talk more about this journey and how I treat my Hashimoto’s 100% naturally while keeping my hormones in the normal range in future blog posts.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to evolving more on this journey of wellness with you.
